External services: After uploading a ride to an external platform the privacy policy of the external service party applies.
Crash and performance data: When crash reporting is enabled, crash and performance data is shared with Google (Firebase) to help us identify and fix issues. This data does not contain personally identifiable information.
External services: Data sent to external parties (only on your request) is handled according to the services and policies of the external party.
Crash reporting: You can disable crash reporting in the app settings if you prefer not to share this data.
Communication with external parties is via a secure connection (https).
User data from the external parties is retained as long as the connection is valid.
Crash data is automatically deleted after 90 days.

The data Jepster collect
Jepster collects personal data and non personal data.The categories of personal data Jepster collects are (note that the personal data is only stored locally on your device, it is not shared automatically to any webservice or site):
Data you provide directly
- Sex
- Date of birth
- Weight
- Maximum and rest heart rate
- Functional Threshold Power
Data Jepster collect automatically
- If GPS is set to true: Location data (GPS coordinates: latitude and longitude, bearing). Location data is collected in the background. Background access is required to collect a reliable GPS track of your ride.
- If connected to a heart rate sensor: Heart rate data (bpm)
- If connected to a speed sensor or GPS is set to true: Speed data (km/h)
- If connected to a cadence sensor: Cadence data (rpm)
- If connected to a power sensor: Power data (power (watts), power balance (% left/right), torque effectiveness (%), pedal smoothness (%))
Data Jepster collect automatically when you connect to a third party service / platform (such as Strava and TrainingPeaks)
The following personal data might be send by the third-party partners after authentication:- Platform account ID
- Contact information (first name and last name, e-mail, city, state and country)
- Profile photo
- Date of birth
- Sex
- Weight
- Functional Threshold Power
- Time zone
The categories of non personal data that Jepster collects are:
Crash reports and analytics data (Firebase Crashlytics)
If crash report is set to true (default), we collect crash reports and performance data to improve app stability and user experience. This includes:- Crash logs and stack traces
- Device information (model, operating system version, available storage and RAM)
- App version and build information
- Timestamp of crashes and errors
- Installation UUID (not tied to personal identity)
- Basic app usage statistics and performance metrics
Why does Jepster collect your data
We use your data for only one purpose:To make Jepster work.
To provide a great Bike computer, Jepster process data necessary to
- Track the data you want to be collected for your ride
- Provide features like route navigation, Strava Live Segments and live Climb profiles
- Upload your activities to an external platform (such as Strava and TrainingPeaks) on your request
- Show data in the graphs and selected data fields during or after your ride
Who can see your data
Local/personal data: Only people who have access to your mobile phone.External services: After uploading a ride to an external platform the privacy policy of the external service party applies.
Crash and performance data: When crash reporting is enabled, crash and performance data is shared with Google (Firebase) to help us identify and fix issues. This data does not contain personally identifiable information.
Your right and options
Local data: Jepster stores most data only on your device. You can remove this data by uninstalling the app. Activity files can also be removed via the feature in the app.External services: Data sent to external parties (only on your request) is handled according to the services and policies of the external party.
Crash reporting: You can disable crash reporting in the app settings if you prefer not to share this data.
Cookies and similar technologies
No cookies or other tracking technologies are used.
How does Jepster protect your data
Security Safeguards
To ensure you privacy and protect your data it is only stored on your mobile device. The data is stored within the app specific folders. Authentication data is stored encrypted.Communication with external parties is via a secure connection (https).
Data retention
Your personal data entered within the app and the ride data is retained on your device as long as the app is installed on your device.User data from the external parties is retained as long as the connection is valid.
Crash data is automatically deleted after 90 days.
